Solar Energy

Solar energy is, as the name implies, energy from the sun. Applications for solar energy usually relate to:
1) generating electricity
2) heating a conductor
3) providing light

I'm mainly concerned with the generating electricity part, as I can do much more with a charged battery than a hot cup of coffee. (well...) The main parts to a solar electric system are:
1) Photo Voltaic cells, or Solar Panels
2) Storage Cells, or Rechargeable Batteries
3) Power Inverters
4) Other useful products, like wiring and circuit breakers.
Charge controllers are also integral to the system, and are discussed along with the batteries.
